Catching Up
I haven’t been real motivated to blog for a while. At first I was thinking I wasn’t sure why but then when I stopped and thought about how it sometimes takes me literally hours to get the motivation to get moving just to take a shower it seems pretty obvious. When there are days, often most, when you’re just physically, mentally and emotionally tired no matter what you try or what you do it makes sense that things don’t get started much less done.

I still get a lot of memories triggered when I look at my blogs and see food posts. These are nothing special just a side by side of a taco salad at a Mexican restaurant in Cottage Grove and tacos I made at home, a pot of rattlesnake pasta that I made and a picture that was more about the beer than the food. Lol. They served us flat beer knowing their carbonation system was down so we traded for bottle beer π».

We’ve had some pretty skies this Fall before or after rain.

I got my tree up a week earlier than usual this year because I was feeling pretty good and didn’t want to assume I would be when I wanted to decorate. And then Thanksgiving weekend I only had to get my Christmas cards out. The list gets shorter every year. And to Charlie’s approval I bought a new comforter.

For Thanksgiving Smitty and I got to renew a tradition doing the Turkey Stuffer 5K in Springfield. The weather was cold but dry and it was good to get together. After the race I had a new drink (new for me) with Donna, took a nap, had Thanksgiving dinner at the house, took a nap and still went to bed early.

Then the next weekend Brandy and I got to keep another tradition alive and did the Jingle Rush 5K in Cottage Grove and then had breakfast at TJ’s in Creswell with Donna and Andrew that included a “loaded” Bloody Mary. I’ll order mine without the garden and the meat next time. The corned beef hash was enough meat and the hash browns enough vegetables. π.

And Charlie got a new blanket.

I did get out a few weeks ago and took Charlie to a park across the freeway in Creswell that I see every time I go to Eugene. It’s small but nice.
