Christmas and Snow

Christmas here in Oregon was nice. On Christmas Eve we got together at the house and had a nice dinner. Our traditional meal here has been lasagna, bread, Caesar salad and my drink of choice this year, wine. There were three different kinds of pie but after the meal I didn’t have any room for it.

After dinner we exchanged gifts and shared a lot of laughs. Even Gregg came over, the only time he’s participated in anything in many months.

Christmas Day we went to Dave and Becky’s (friends of Donna’s from California who live here now). Becky actually rented the 5th wheel my parents had lived in. We had quiche, mixed berries and drinks. Then we played a game for a while before heading home to the dogs. It was a fun time with a lot of laughs.

Christmas night we got enough snow too have it declared a white Christmas and then it continued to snow off and on for several days. It was a beautiful snow.

I think this was the first time that Charlie has been in the snow. After he figured out where and how to go to the bathroom I think he liked it.

The last picture was of my deck from inside. We had quite a bit of snow.

I made green chili stew for the first time in years. I didn’t make it on Christmas Eve like I usually did because we had dinner at the house so I made it the day after Christmas and with the snow and cold it was a perfect time to have it.

It was a really nice Christmas!
