2022 What’s to Come??

Started the New Year with a race I last did in 2019. The First Run 5K in Eugene. It was a cold day but it felt good to just be out around the running community again. I managed 3rd of 7 in my age group. After only 9 races in 2021 I’m hoping to do more this year. One goal is to still try to knock out some of the final 10 states I need to meet my goal of racing in all 50 states. Time will tell.

It’s been over a month since I worked on this blog because in the interim I started and completed a blog about my time in the Navy.

It was done because my daughter asked to know more about my Navy time so I took a deep dive into the past over 50 years ago and wrote and published the blog.

Back to “running” goals. I managed to do a second “race” in January, the Winter Predictor 5K. I finished DFL but was faster than the First Run 5K and I was 3rd in my age group.

As far as the goals I talked about I didn’t do much to reach them in February. There were two races I intended to do but when it came time to decide my body said “Nope”. So going forward who knows what’s going to happen I just know it’s becoming harder to look ahead and make goals.
